When I joined GP Strategies EMEA as the Head of Change, I immediately went into design mode. I was sure I wanted to create a compelling framework to manage the change a SuccessFactors implementation brings. A framework is vital for three main reasons:
1. Change takes time. People need time and support to move from old to new ways of working and a framework allows for that. It recognises the space people need for individual and collective shifts.
2. Change needs to resonate and match the individual’s state of mind. A framework provides the flexibility to support movements effectively and consistently; be it on an individual, user role or organisational level.
3. Measurement. We are able to proactively measure the success of change through the implementation lifecycle; using a framework.

The cornerstone of this framework is engaged sponsorship. To drive and create lasting change, we need leaders to openly sponsor, endorse and most importantly role model the new ways of working. In a SuccessFactors transformation, these behaviours are needed to emphasise the importance and significance of standardised processes and be clear on when and where localisations are permitted and acceptable. This not only achieves the simplification and efficiency most organisations are seeking; but also directs the right behaviours and creates long term change.
